Health care reform, food safety regulations and school meal programs will dominate the Independent Bakers Association 39th annual convention on June 18-19 in Washington, D.C.

Additionally, experts in family business, buying trends and taxes have been asked to speak. The event includes a BakePAC dinner to discuss the current political climate.

Allied members are invited to make brief presentations at the beginning of each session to showcase new products and services. According to Nick Pyle, IBA’s president, “The convention is a chance to meet with bakers, suppliers and key Washington officials. IBA will also set up congressional visits for those who wish.”

This year’s meeting is at the Washington Court Hotel, and reservations must be made before May 15 for a special room rate. Contact IBA for more information.
