OAK BROOK, ILL. — Breakfast options, traditional menu items, the Monopoly game and featured items such as McWraps, the Big Mac and chicken McNuggets contributed to a 1.6% increase in U.S. comparable sales in July for McDonald’s Corp.

Comparable sales in Europe were down 1.9% on disappointing performance in Germany, France and Southern Europe.

In Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, comparable sales were down 1.9% on negative results in Japan, Australia and China.

Overall, global comparable sales for the company increased 0.7% in July.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on building market share and strengthening our position as our customers’ favorite place and way to eat and drink.”
