ROCK ISLAND, ILL. — U.S. Bank and The Business Valued Advisor Fund has closed on a deal that will provide Hill & Valley Inc. with $2.2 million to build a refrigerated warehouse and expanded commercial bakery in Rock Island. Founded in 1986, Hill & Valley makes sugar-free and no-sugar-added baked foods.

Hill & Valley said it plans to consolidate its operations from three existing buildings to a new location. The 136,000-square-foot bakery, office and warehouse will allow the company to expand its capacity, reduce its reliance on third-party warehouses, and provide enhanced food safety and product quality.

“We’re proud to be able to invest in our community by taking steps that will allow our company to continue to grow as it has since we started in 1986,” said Doug Davidson, president and chief executive officer of Hill & Valley. “We are committed to the Quad Cities and are excited to continue the positive impact we have had in this region.”
