WOODLAND, CALIF. — PGP International Inc., a food ingredient manufacturer specializing in extruded particulates, high-protein soy crisps, rice flours and blends, and gluten-free products, has achieved Non-GMO Project Verified status for 23 types of rice flour and rice meal made from brown rice, white rice and organic brown rice. The products were verified on Aug. 24 and will be re-verified annually. More of PGPI’s products are expected to receive verification in coming months.

The Non-GMO Project offers North America’s only independent verification process. Verified products are demonstrated to have been produced in compliance with the Non-GMO Project Standard, which means they have undergone ongoing testing of all G.M.O.-risk ingredients, facility inspections, and an annual audit to ensure producers are meeting the highest possible standards for G.M.O. avoidance. In total, more than 20,000 products have been verified by the Non-GMO Project since 2010.
