REDLANDS, CALIF. — The San Bernardino, Calif., flour mill of Ardent Mills was honored Nov. 21 at an event organized by California state senator Mike Morell and chambers of commerce within the state’s 23rd district.
Senator Morell and the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce honored Ardent with a 2014 Top Chamber Business Award.
“California isn’t always the easiest place to do business,” Mr. Morrell said. “That’s why it is all the more important that we have events like the Top Chamber Business Awards to recognize business owners for their success. That they’re chosen by their peers for this honor speaks volumes about their impact on our communities.”
The annual award is a collaborative event to promote different busses in their respective areas. Each participating chamber may nominate up to three businesses and selects one for recognition as the “Top Chamber Business.”
The award was announced and presented at an event at the Orton Center on the University of Redlands campus in Redlands, about 10 miles southeast of San Bernardino. The award was accepted by Nelson Selmer, plant manager at the San Bernardino mill of Ardent Mills. It was the second time in four years the flour mill has won Top Chamber Business Award.
