DALLAS — Holm Bake, L.L.C. plans to open the first of 17 Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants in the Orlando, Fla., area next year after signing a multi-unit development agreement with Corner Bakery Cafe. The remaining 16 sites should open over the following six years.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to introduce the Orlando community to Corner Bakery Cafe and confident that everything from the freshly-prepared menu to the comfortable and friendly atmosphere will make our cafes a welcome addition in neighborhoods across central Florida,” said Eric Holm, managing member at Winter Park, Fla.-based Holm Bake, L.L.C., which also owns and operates 30 Golden Corral restaurants.

Gregg Koffler, vice-president of franchise sales for Corner Bakery Cafe, said, “Neighborhoods and tourism are an important part of the Orlando community, and we are confident that our cafes will quickly become a favorite for both locals and tourists in this new market.”

Dallas-based Corner Bakery Cafe has 165 company-owned and franchised locations in 17 states and Washington, D.C. The fast-casual chain has a goal of more than doubling its U.S. footprint in the next three years.
