LONDON — Tate & Lyle plans to invest more than $90 million in its Lafayette, Ind., operations over the next three years. A three-phase expansion at the Lafayette Sagamore facility will increase modified food starch production capacity. Tate & Lyle also will increase efficiencies at its Lafayette South facility.
The planned expansion and upgrades should be complete in 2017. Tate & Lyle, which employs more than 500 people in Indiana, plans to add about 10 positions to the workforce in Lafayette. The company also has grain elevators in Francesville, Ind., and Fowler, Ind.
