LOS ANGELES — Nate’s Food Co. has broken ground on a new facility in Fairfield, Calif., that is expected to increase production of its pre-mixed pancake and waffle batter to approximately 15 million cans per year, up from 5 million currently.
The facility is expected to be completed within the next 12 months and will join Nate’s Food’s Los Angeles manufacturing plant in filling customer orders.
Nate’s Food also is working with SouthCorp Capital to finalize plans for a facility in Indiana. The company expects the plans will be submitted for permits in the next 45 to 60 days. The facility in Indiana will be capable of producing up to 100 million cans per year, according to Nate’s Food.The facility in Indiana is expected to handle the company’s expansion of its product line, including the following products: omelet, guacamole, cookie mix, brownie mix, cake mix, syrups and compound butters in addition to the flavor expansion. It is expected that the Indiana plant will become operational within the next 24 months.
