Price Cooper previously was c.f.o. at Texas Roadhouse.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Price Cooper will join Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. as executive vice-president later this month and will become chief financial officer in April following the company’s filing of its annual 10-K report. Mr. Cooper will succeed Douglas Muir, Krispy Kreme’s c.f.o. since June 2007, who announced retirement plans last year.

Previously c.f.o. of Texas Roadhouse, Inc., Mr. Cooper has held positions in finance, planning and accounting and has 14 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

“We are excited to have Price join our team,” said Tony Thompson, president and chief executive officer of Krispy Kreme. “His personal integrity, extensive restaurant experience, strategic perspective and financial expertise as a public company chief financial officer make him the ideal fit for Krispy Kreme. We again want to thank Doug Muir for his over 10 years of service and for his assistance in transitioning responsibilities over to Price.”

Scott Colosi, president of Texas Roadhouse, will serve as interim c.f.o. of the casual dining chain.
