ORLANDO, FLA. — SNAXPO 2015 will give attendees the chance to become part of the magic of the snack food industry when it hits Orlando March 29-31, 2015. More than 1,000 professionals from around the world will gather, searching for ways to build a brighter future for their companies.

Attendees will meet at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, where they’ll huddle with the world’s top suppliers, network with peers and learn about the latest developments important to their businesses, both in keynote sessions with nationally known speakers and workshops led by top experts.

“This is the event of the year for the industry,” said Tom Dempsey, president and chief executive officer of the Snack Food Association (S.F.A.). “In the shadow of Disney World, SNAXPO 2015 will offer plenty of excitement, but more importantly, there will be plenty of opportunity to learn and find ways of building your business.”

Exhibitors, Mr. Dempsey said, will enjoy unmatched exposure to domestic and international snack food management professionals who are actively looking for new equipment, ingredients, products and services that will help them achieve greater efficiency and profitability for their companies.

“Every exhibitor at SNAXPO has the power to transform the snack food industry,” Mr. Dempsey stressed. “Whether you’re with an innovative small start-up or representing the applied ingenuity of a multi-national corporation, attending SNAXPO demonstrates that you are a category leader, committed to your customers’ success and dedicated to advancing our industry.”

Meanwhile, SNAXPO offers attendees an unmatched opportunity to meet with suppliers and experts, all in one place, and benefit from an agenda featuring three important keynote addresses and a strong curriculum of sharply focused workshops.

Keynote addresses will feature Bob Woodward, the most famous political investigative reporter in America and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, who will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of government, politics and the role of leadership.

“The state of snacking: finding an identity in a rapidly-changing world” will be presented by Jared Koerten, senior analyst, Euromonitor, who will discuss key demographic and lifestyle factors driving growth in various segments of the U.S. savory snack market as well as key sources of competition. He also will provide suggestions for the future, using case studies and Euromonitor’s market projections through 2019.

Supermarket Guru Phil Lempert, who for more than 25 years has identified and explained impending trends to consumers and some of the most prestigious companies worldwide, will speak on the latest snacking trends. As an author and speaker, Mr. Lempert alerts customers and business leaders to impending corporate and consumer trends and empowers them to make educated purchasing and marketing decisions.

Included in the educational programming will be a special session for Latin American attendees. It will focus on “Future of snacks in Latin America” and be presented by Euromonitor’s Latin American specialist, Sean Kreidler. He will discuss factors that impact and drive consumer trends, with case studies and suggestions for the future. Also explored will be the recent impact in Mexico of the government tax on high-calorie food and beverages and what this means for the future of snacks.

Other educational sessions will include a legislative update on the most important issues affecting the industry, such as sodium, genetically modified organisms, Dietary Guidelines for Americans, SNAP choice, independent contractor status, and country-of-origin labeling among others, by S.F.A. government relations consultants.

An update on regulatory and Food Safety Modernization Act developments will be presented by Martin Hahn, Hogan Lovells US L.L.C., S.F.A.’s general counsel, and Trinity Logistics will host a discussion of logistics and supply chain issues and their application to snack manufacturing.

A report on consumer perception of biotechnology and food manufacturing will be presented by the International Food Information Council.
