SHAWNEE MISSION, KAS. — Brook Carson has joined Manildra Group USA as vice-president of product development and marketing. She previously spent 10 years with Archer Daniels Midland Co. and most recently was director of research and development for ADM Milling in Overland Park, Kas.
“Brook brings a new level of product development and service that our customers have been asking for,” said Neal Bassi, president of Manilda Group USA, a producer of vital wheat gluten, wheat protein and specialty wheat starches. “We now can provide formulation solutions rather than individual ingredients as solutions. Brook bridges this gap for us with her vast knowledge of ingredients and experience within the baking and food industries.”
Ms. Carson received a bachelor’s degree in bakery science and a master’s degree in food science from Kansas State University. A member of the Institute of Food Technologists and AACC International, Ms. Carson will be responsible for developing new markets and strategies to further develop Manildra’s line of organic, non-bioengineered/non-G.M.O. and specialty wheat protein and starch ingredients.“I am looking forward to getting to know the unique capabilities that Manildra has to offer and providing greater application support than we have been able to in the past,” she said. “It is exciting to be able to put together the full story of what Manildra has to offer and the benefits we can provide to product developers and food companies.”
