NASHVILLE, TENN. — Christopher O’Brien has joined Christie Cookie as director of business development for the southeast region. Mr. O’Brien will assist the company in growing its regional and national presence through recruiting, hiring, training, managing and motivating food service brokers.

“Chris will play a key role in developing and supporting food service customers in the southeast,” said Jay McKnight, vice-president of food service, Christie Cookie. “His wealth of experience and industry knowledge is invaluable, and we are thrilled Chris has joined our team.”

Prior to joining Christie Cookie, Mr. O’Brien was a sales manager for Queen City Pastry Desserts. He also has worked as regional sales manager southeast for Continental Mills and H.J. Heinz. He began his career as southeast chain accounts manager with The Coca-Cola Co. and continued his career in similar roles for various companies prior to arriving at Christie Cookie.

Mr. O’Brien graduated from Greensboro College with a degree in business and legal administration and has more than 20 years of industry experience.
