LAS VEGAS — The Pack Expo portfolio of trade shows, produced by P.M.M.I., The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, began with a single event but now serves the entire North American market with a series of annual and biennial shows. In February, P.M.M.I. unveiled the newest Pack Expo show: Pack Expo East, at Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Pack Expo East, designed to meet the needs of consumer goods producers in the Northeast, delivered just that, with 386 exhibiting companies serving more than 6,500 attendees — primarily manufacturers from Pennsylvania (36%), New Jersey (25%) and New York (10%).

For the processing and packaging industry, the regional Pack Expo East show whet the appetite for Pack Expo Las Vegas (Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Sept. 28-30, 2015). P.M.M.I. will maintain its track record of providing the industry’s customer-centric home for processing and packaging professionals, including the nearly 15% of attendees who identify themselves as baking and snack manufacturers. As in years past, The Baking–Snack Break Lounge is the information center for all things baking and snack at the show. It provides a central meeting place for professionals to discuss the many trends and technologies on display throughout the show and specific offerings in the Processing Zone and The Brand Zone.

One huge addition to Pack Expo Las Vegas is the colocation of Pharma Expo. The partnership with the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (I.S.P.E.) debuted at Pack Expo International 2014 to rave reviews. In addition to a robust educational program, Pharma Expo showcases new technologies that crossover into other markets.  These innovations in pharma provide tools that baking and snack professionals can use to deal with the Food Safety and Modernization Act, traceability, etc.

The show will deliver thousands of processing and packaging technologies while fostering an environment of collaboration from attendees and exhibitors representing 40 or more vertical markets.
