KANSAS CITY — A wide range of business, operational and legislative issues will be addressed at the Fall Symposium of TEGMA. The meeting will be held at the Westin Kansas City Sept. 17-18.

Speakers at the program will include Ankush Bhandari, vice-president of economic research at The Gavilon Group L.L.C. Mr. Bhandari will speak on the “Agricultural Economic Outlook.”
Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas will speak to the TEGMA gathering on “Washington Outlook and Pending Rail Issues.”
Other presentations will include “Payments Fraud Awareness and Prevention,” Alan Hale, senior fraud policy strategist, Bank of America Merrill Lynch; “Trade Opportunities for U.S. Grains,” U.S. Grains Council (speaker not yet confirmed); “Farm Programs, Politics and Presidential Candidates,” Sara Wyant, president, Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc.

TEGMA once again will be holding its meeting in conjunction with the annual meeting of the National Grain Car Council. The Sept. 17 session will be an official gathering of the National Grain Car Council session, with TEGMA members invited. The following morning will be led by TEGMA, with National Grain Car Council members invited.
The fall symposium has grown popular in recent years, timed just before the fall harvest. TEGMA is a North American trade association with member companies that include grain shippers and receivers, as well, as many related businesses including transportation companies, ports, and inspection agencies.
