More than 14% of attendees at Pack Expo Las Vegas and Pharma Expo 2015, to be held Sept. 28–30 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, identify themselves as baking and snack manufacturers, making them the largest single attendee group at the show.

Show owner and producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, provides The Baking-Snack Break Lounge to give the baking and snack industries a central meeting place and networking hub at the show. For the second straight year, the Biscuit and Cracker Manufacturer’s Association (B&CMA) will host the Baking-Snack Break Lounge (Booth S–7427). The lounge will be staffed by B&CMA subject matter experts.

“Pack Expo is a vital part of our outreach to bakers and suppliers,” said David Van Laar, president, B&CMA. “We’re providing a place for them to network, rest, regroup and discuss solutions to specific issues.”

B&CMA also will host a lounge reception for the baking and snack industry on, Sept. 29, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The event is an opportunity for baking and snack industry professionals to connect and network with customers and suppliers in a more relaxed environment.

Pack Expo Las Vegas 2015 features the co-location of Pharma Expo, a joint venture from PMMI and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). The two shows have more than 800,000 square feet of combined exhibit space and are expected to attract 30,000 packaging and processing professionals and more than 2,000 exhibiting companies. Bakers and snack makers may use the co-located event as a source of information and inspiration for hygienic design and other considerations related to the Food Safety Modernization Act.

Registration is $30 through Sept. 14, when it increases to $100. Register for Pack Expo and Pharma Expo at www.packexpolasvegas.com.
