BROWNSBURG, IND. — Maplehurst Bakeries, L.L.C., a subsidiary of George Weston Ltd., has begun hiring for its new donut bakery in Lebanon, Tenn. The company is seeking employees for full-time opportunities as manufacturing and warehouse associates, industrial maintenance professionals and team management. The facility initially will employ 70 associates with longer term plans to employ approximately 150 associates.

“We are excited to join the Lebanon, Tenn., and Wilson county communities,” said Kevin McDonough, president of Maplehurst. “The right mix of geographic advantages and workforce pool were among reasons Maplehurst selected Lebanon. We wish to thank the many local and state officials for their efforts to make this project come to life.”

In June, Maplehurst Bakeries unveiled plans to invest $102.8 million to build and equip the new 173,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Lebanon. The new facility, which is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2016, will house warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operations for Maplehurst’s donut production.

Maplehurst Bakeries operates facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, New Hampshire and Washington.
