ST. LOUIS — McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Kellogg Co. and General Mills are among the companies making the transition to cage-free eggs, and Michael Foods, the largest provider of cage-free egg products in the United States, is doing its part to ensure it is able to handle demand.

Michael Foods said it will continue to invest in the production of cage-free eggs to meet the growing demand. Michael Foods also said it will continue to be an advocate for cage-free egg products with consumers and customers.

As customers seek to transition to cage-free eggs and egg products, Michael Foods said it plans to ensure the shift happens in a way that is reasonable and sustainable for all stakeholders, including the farmers who are the foundation of the egg supply system.
