Interpack 2017
Interpack 2017 will take place from May 4 - 10, 2017, at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY — Interpack 2017 has recorded the largest exhibitor demand in the event’s 55-year history. By the official registration deadline of February 2016, companies had booked about 20% more space than is available in the 19 halls of the exhibition center. The concurrently held “components” event with products of packaging technology suppliers is expected to be fully booked as well — even though the temporarily erected lightweight hall (Hall 18) offers more than twice as much space as in 2014. Interpack and “components” will take place from May 4 - 10, 2017, at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Interpack is a platform for companies with products and solutions from the packaging technology sector for food and beverage, confectionery and bakery products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food consumer goods and industrial goods. The exhibitors’ product ranges are complemented by innovative special themes and special events.

At Interpack 2017, the spotlight will be on “Industry 4.0,” staged in cooperation with the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). In the form of a technology lounge at the VDMA stand, the special show will present examples of applications in the packaging machinery and process technology sector for new application potentials regarding safety, traceability, copy and piracy protection and individualized packaging.

The theme of “Save Food” will again be prominent at Interpack 2017. The “innovationparc” special show will display packaging strategies and solutions to help reduce food loss and waste — including the winners of the national competitions for the Save Food Packaging Awards of the World Packaging Organisation (W.P.O.). Selected in advance of Interpack, the winners will compete for the WorldStar Awards. Also integrated in innovationparc will be a lecture forum for companies to present their solutions and strategies. As in 2014, innovationparc will again be held in a high-quality tent construction between Halls 2 and 3.

Scheduled on the first day of Interpack 2017 is the third international SAVE FOOD Congress with the participation of its partner institutions: the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and the United Nations Environment Programme.
