COLUMBUS, OHIO — David A. Ciesinski has been named president and chief operating officer of Lancaster Colony Corp. and president of T. Marzetti, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lancaster Colony. He succeeds Bruce L. Rosa, who is retiring after 41 years of service, including 13 years as president of T. Marzetti. Mr. Rosa will remain with the company for a transition period through June 30.

Mr. Ciesinski will report to John B. Gerlach Jr., the company’s chairman, chief executive officer and principal executive officer.

“Dave has extensive knowledge and proven leadership in the packaged foods business,” Mr. Gerlach said. “The board of directors and I are confident that Dave has the right combination of talent and experience to successfully guide our business toward continued growth in the years to come.”

Mr. Ciesinski most recently was president of the meals solutions division at Kraft Foods Group, Inc. His prior experience includes 15 years in the packaged foods industry, including the role of group vice-president and chief marketing officer, U.S. consumer products with H.J. Heinz Co.

Lancaster Colony is a specialty food maker whose products include Flatout flatbread, Marzetti refrigerated salad dressings, New York croutons and Olive Garden dressing.
