Rondo expansion
Rondo has invested more than $1 million in an upgraded machining center at its facility in Heimiswilstrasse, Switzerland.

BURGDORF, SWITZERLAND — Rondo has invested more than $1 million in an upgraded machining center at its facility in Heimiswilstrasse, Switzerland.

“This new Turn-Mill centre is mainly used for the high-precision production of rollers,” said Gebhard Hochreutener, production manager. “These rollers are a very important element of our dough processing machinery.”

Dr. Michael P. Witzak, chief executive officer, said the expansion helps the company further its commitment to manufacture its dough processing equipment on-site.

“We think it is important that we have all the key competencies for manufacturing in-house,” Dr. Witzak said. “Only in this way are we able to develop our products at the highest level. This investment is a clear commitment from Rondo to produce in Switzerland.”
