Morgan Flatley has been named U.S. c.m.o. of McDonald's

OAK BROOK, ILL. — McDonald’s USA has named three individuals to senior leadership positions at the company.

Morgan Flatley has been named U.S. chief marketing officer. She succeeds Deborah Wahl. Ms. Flatley most recently was c.m.o. of global nutrition at PepsiCo, Inc. Earlier, she held various roles at PepsiCo, including c.m.o. of Gatorade. In her new role, Ms. Flatley will lead integrated marketing plans to drive growth for McDonald’s U.S. business while expanding and strengthening partnerships with franchisees and suppliers. In addition, she will further influence the creative and bold approach of McDonald’s new agency, We Are Unlimited, to connect with customers in innovative ways.

Farhan Siddiqi has been named head of U.S. digital, where he will be responsible for delivering and managing digital solutions for the United States that increase customer engagement and drive sales through digital channels. He succeeds Julia Vander Ploeg. Mr. Siddiqi most recently was vice-president of global digital experience at McDonald’s, overseeing digital functions, including global product strategy, design, innovation and business development. Prior to joining McDonald’s in 2016, he held a number of executive positions at Bank of America, Target and GE.

Linda VanGosen has been named head of U.S. menu. She succeeds Lance Richards. Ms. VanGosen most recently was vice-president at Starbucks, where she was responsible for the overall vision and strategic growth plans for Starbucks Evenings. Earlier, she was vice-president of brand strategy, insights and menu innovation at TGI Friday’s and was vice-president of product innovation at Chili’s Grill & Bar.
