LAVAL, QUEBEC — Canada Bread Co., a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V., announced it has come to an agreement with the Syndicat des Travailleuses et Travailleurs de Distribution Multi-Marques (C.S.N.) at the company’s distribution center in Laval.

Canada Bread said it has reached the agreement with the unanimous endorsement of the C.S.N. bargaining team. The collective agreement received affirmative votes by “an overwhelming majority” of the company’s employees, Canada Bread said. Workers at the center had been subjected to a lock out since April 1.

The agreement encompasses all monetary and non-monetary items, including matters Canada Bread said were of “critical importance to the long-term viability” of the distribution center.

The company said the distribution center will ramp up production over the next two weeks and will gradually bring associates back to work.
