GREENVILLE, S.C. — Moore’s Food Resources, a provider of natural foods to the food service industry, plans to invest $15 million to open a new 131,200-square-foot baking facility in Piedmont, S.C. The planned opening is expected to create 182 new jobs, the company said.

“We are passionate advocates of creating unique, wholesome, healthy, all-natural foods that deliver an unmatched eating experience,” said Sheila Moore, founder and owner of Moore’s Food Resources. “Our products are lower in calories versus our competition and contain no added colors, flavors or preservatives. We look forward to sharing our products and passions with the world.”

Founded in 1997 as a flavoring and seasonings manufacturer, Moore’s Foods Resources transitioned to frozen foods in 2010 and now develops farm-to-table foods and dessert baked foods that are sold under the Shelia Moore’s Gourmet Recipes brand. The company’s products include beet waffles.

The baking facility, which is set to open in early 2018, is expected to initially produce six products, including four muffin loaves and two types of waffles.
