Chewy, gooey and gluten-free

The stroopwafel, a traditional Dutch cookie, is gaining traction stateside, with several brands at the Sweets & Snacks Expo offering the chewy, gooey treat. The namesake product from Swoffle, Concord, Mass., is certified organic and gluten-free.

Made with organic rice and tapioca flours, Swoffle varieties include french vanilla and caramel filled. The brand was founded by father-daughter duo John and Julia Paino.
