Carter Cast has been elected to the board of directors of The Kellogg Co.
 

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Carter Cast has been elected to the board of directors of The Kellogg Co., effective June 15.

Mr. Cast brings years of experience in e-commerce to the company, having helped to build and then lead Walmart.com as its chief executive officer. He was the c.e.o. of Hayneedle, Inc., an on-line retail company, led the launch of on-line jewelry retailer Blue Nile, and served as the chief marketing officer at eBay, and the vice-president of product marketing and marketing communications at Electronic Arts. In addition, Mr. Cast has worked as a marketing executive at PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., where he managed its $1.5 billion tortilla chip category.

Mr. Cast is currently a clinical professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he teaches entrepreneurship, innovation and marketing. He is also a venture partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital.
