MONTAIGU, FRANCE — VMI announced that it plans to complete construction of a new manufacturing facility in August. The plant will have more than 140,000 square feet of production space, and is designed to be modular and scalable in anticipation of future growth.

In addition to production, the new facility will also house VMI’s sales and administration departments, design offices, test facilities and research and development department. Four production halls will be equipped with overhead cranes for working on large equipment. A 7,500-square-foot Research and Skill Center also will be included for the company to develop projects with its customers and partners.

VMI set up shop in its current Montaigu plant in 1960 and will remain in the Vendée region with this new building.

“This significant step shows the excellent response of our customers to the major technological developments of the last three years, and the trust VMI's shareholders place in the teams, and the potential of development on its markets, by strengthening its leading position,” the company said.

VMI provides mixing equipment for a range of industries, including baking.
