Little Caesars Pizza Reserve-N-Ready system
Little Caesars' new Reserve-N-Ready system features a heated pick-up station called the Pizza Portal.

DETROIT – Little Caesars in select stores is testing a mobile-ordering, pre-payment system that features a heated self-service pick-up station, the Detroit-based company said Aug. 7. The system is being tested in select stores now and should expand to other markets later this year.

Under the Reserve-N-Ready system, a customer places an order and pre-pays via the Little Caesars mobile app, which notifies the customer when the order is ready. The customer, upon arriving at the store, may skip the line and go directly to the Pizza Portal, the name of the heated pick-up station. The customer then inputs a three-digit PIN or scans a quick-response (Q.R.) code. The door on the customer’s secured compartment opens, giving the customer access to the pizza.

Little Caesars and Apex Supply Chain Technologies, L.L.C., Mason, Ohio, co-developed Pizza Portal's proprietary technology.

“The genuine purpose behind integrating advanced technology into our stores is all about improving the customer experience and building on our convenience and quality,” said David Scrivano, president and chief executive officer of Little Caesars. "We've spent a lot of time thinking about how to mesh mobile with our Hot-N-Ready model to improve on The World's Easiest Way to Pizza.  We changed the pizza game when we introduced Hot-N-Ready. We think Reserve-N-Ready featuring our breakthrough Pizza Portal has the potential to do it again.”
