CULEMBORG, THE NETHERLANDS — Rademaker BV announced a new partnership with The Women’s Bakery, a social organization that works to alleviate poverty in African nations through educating women and building bakeries.

By providing comprehensive business education and vocational training, The Women’s Bakery helps women launch and profitably manage their own bakeries. These bakeries are built in the women’s communities and seek to meet local demand with ingredients that are sourced locally. With low prices and nutritious bread, these bakeries offer residents an affordable option for healthy food. The Women’s Bakery has seen success in both Rwanda and Tanzania.

“Sustainability, benevolence and service to others are paramount to the fabric and culture of the Rademaker organization,” said Eric Riggle, president, Rademaker USA. “We are proud of this partnership and support of The Women’s Bakery as part of our global Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative.”

Rademaker believes its collaboration with The Women’s Bakery will allow it to reach its goal of providing nutrient rich, affordable food to the most vulnerable people in society.

As part of their partnership, Rademaker will contribute its expertise and knowledge. By helping The Women’s Bakery to professionalize their operations and expand their teaching facilities, Rademaker can help these bakeries become independent more quickly, allowing more women to participate in the program.
