CHICAGO — The Barry Callebaut Group has completed two expansion projects in the United States and opened a warehouse.

An expansion in American Canyon, Calif., includes a molding line, a liquid line and equipment improvements. An expansion in Chicago includes a molding line and related infrastructure. The new warehouse in Bethlehem, Pa., includes more than 500,000 square feet of temperature-controlled space. It will function as the company’s main distribution hub for Barry Callebaut’s business on the East coast.

“These investments in manufacturing and warehousing demonstrate Barry Callebaut’s continued focus on service and product availability to meet our customers’ needs,” said Peter Boone, president of the Americas region. “As our customer base grows, we continue to invest in infrastructure to support that progress.”

Barry Callebaut, a manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products, is based in Zurich and has a North American office in Chicago.
