MILWAUKIE, ORE. — Dave’s Killer Bread (D.K.B.), a subsidiary of Flowers Foods, Inc., is expanding its Thin-Sliced bread line with a new variety: White Bread Done Right Thin-Sliced.

The bread, which contains 8 grams of whole grains and 80 calories per slice, features quinoa, spelt, rye, millet and barley. White Bread Done Right Thin-Sliced is also U.S.D.A.-certified organic, Non-GMO Project verified, meets the Whole Grain Council Stamp requirements and is made with no bleached flour, no high-fructose corn syrup and no artificial preservatives or ingredients.

“Our White Bread Done Right is one of D.K.B.’s most popular varieties, and people love our Thin-Sliced products,” said Cristina Watson, brand manager for D.K.B. “So, we thought, what a perfect opportunity to marry the two, and load up a smaller loaf with that new-school nutrition. Our Thin-Sliced options are not only ideal for calorie counters or those desiring a smaller portion size, they’re also a great option for kids … and White Bread Done Right Thin-Sliced is even more perfect for kids, considering its soft, smooth texture.”

White Bread Done Right Thin-Sliced will be available nationally this month with a suggested retail price of $4.99.
