PURCHASE, N.Y. — Dave Yawman has been named executive vice-president, government affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary at PepsiCo, Inc. Most recently, Mr. Yawman served as senior vice-president and deputy general counsel, PepsiCo, and general counsel North America and Corporate. He succeeds Tony West, who is leaving the company.

Mr. Yawman began his career at PepsiCo in 1998, serving as a member of the company’s corporate law department before advancing to the role of associate general counsel for Pepsi Bottling Group, overseeing corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions matters. He later served as general counsel of North America Beverages, Quaker Foods North America and Latin America Beverages, and senior vice-president, chief compliance and ethics officer for PepsiCo.

Prior to his time at PepsiCo, he was an associate with the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Johnson and a law clerk in the U.S. District Court. He is an honors graduate of the Rutgers University School of Law and has a bachelor’s degree in American studies from the University of Notre Dame.
