BENSENVILLE, ILL.— Somic America will relocate its North American headquarters to the Minneapolis metro area in March. The packaging company is moving from its current location in Bensenville, Ill., to accommodate growing demand for its products.

“With sales and our customer base expanding, we simply outgrew the current space,” said Peter Fox, vice-president of sales, Somic. “Our new location resolves that issue and opens the door to many new opportunities.”

Located in Eagan, Minn., the new office represents a significant upgrade for the company. The 13,000-square-foot space will feature an equipment showroom, offer increased office and warehouse facilities, and accommodate up to 30 employees.

“We plan on having room to demonstrate equipment and we will be able to stock more parts,” Mr. Fox said. “The building is only 10 minutes from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and has great interstate access. Major corporate offices are nearby, as well as the Minnesota Vikings practice complex and many popular restaurants, so we are in an area that is in high demand.”
