KANSAS CITY — Employees at Hostess Brands, Inc. will be receiving a mix of cash and sweet goods as part of a new bonus payment plan announced by the company.

In connection with the recently enacted tax legislation, Hostess said it will provide bonuses totaling $1,250 to each of its 1,036 hourly bakery and corporate employees. The bonuses will include $750 in cash and a $500 401k contribution.

Additionally, Hostess said it will give employees a year’s worth of free product. As part of the giveaway, a representative of each bakery location will choose a “product of the week” for the bakery, and each employee at the bakery will be eligible to take home one multi-pack of the week’s selection, every week for a year.
