For the latest in education and training, networking opportunities and new ideas in cookie and cracker industry, join the Biscuit & Cracker Manufacturers’ Association for its 88th Annual Technical Conference, May 5-8 at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza, Kansas City, MO.

Learn about the state of the industry from Cynthia Waggoner, vice-president of operations, snacks and confectionary, Mondel?z International, Deerfield, IL. Ms. Waggoner will present this overview of the biscuit and cracker markets during the conference’s general session.

In addition, the technical conference offers educational sessions on production, management, technology and sustainability. Topics to be presented include multimedia baking technology, the effect of dies on rotary moulded products and productivity. Attendees also will receive a sneak peek at the wire-cut lesson from B&CMA’s upcoming intermediate training course.

The conference offers the only tabletop exhibition specifically focused on the cookie and cracker industry, where B&CMA allied members showcase their services and products. After the breakout sessions and tabletop exhibition, a variety of industry veterans will answer questions relating to manufacturers’ operations during an Ask the Expert Production Panel. The conference concludes with educational plant tours of Best Harvest Bakeries in Kansas City, KS, and ShickUSA, Kansas City, MO.

Additionally, the technical conference will feature networking events to facilitate educational and business opportunities in a casual setting, including a Sunday golf outing at Shoal Creek Golf Club, a taste of Kansas City culinary tour, an opening reception and an interactive game night at the College Basketball Experience in downtown Kansas City.
