The company recently completed a study with its 30%-reduced-sodium ingredient in yeast-leavened dough systems, specifically hamburger buns. Compared with conventionally formulated buns, those made with Nu-Tek Salt showed no significant differences in overall appearance, salt flavor, texture or overall flavor acceptability. Researchers detected no negative impact on production or yield either.
