Mr. Golub joined the Campbell board in 1996, and he has served as chairman since 2004. From 1993 to 2001, he was chairman and c.e.o. of American Express Company. Since 2006, he has been executive chairman of Ripplewood Holdings L.L.C., a private equity firm.

"Harvey Golub’s strong leadership and incisive strategic counsel during his tenure as our chairman have been instrumental to our success in advancing Campbell’s mission to become the world’s most extraordinary food company," said Douglas Conant, president and c.e.o. of Campbell. "I am profoundly grateful for Harvey’s advice and partnership during the past five years. We are extremely fortunate to have Paul Charron, a wise advisor and skillful business leader, to succeed him.
