TORONTO — Ozery Bakery Inc. has introduced OneBun, an all-natural sandwich bun, in Whole Foods Market locations on the West coast. The bun is available in three varieties: Multi Grain Whole Grain Sandwich, Whole Wheat Whole Grain 100 Calorie, and Whole Wheat Whole Grain Hot Dog.
According to Ozery, the buns are a smaller size than traditional buns.
Multi Grain Whole Grain Sandwich OneBun has nine grains and crushed flax seeds. In addition, each serving has 35 grams of whole grain.
Whole Wheat Whole Grain 100 Calorie OneBun is made with whole grain white wheat flour and organic sourdough. Each serving has 17 grams of whole grain.
Whole Wheat Whole Grain Hot Dog OneBun is made with whole grain white wheat flour and organic sourdough. The buns may be used for hot dogs, sausages, soft tacos and omelets. Each serving has 16 grams of whole grains.
"Our variety of flat sandwich buns gives quality-seeking consumers tasty and healthy choices for burgers, pizzas and more, perfect for customers that want less bun and more flavor," said Alon Ozery, partner with Ozery Bakery.
The OneBun products are delivered frozen, defrosted for three hours at room temperature and then placed on the shelf. Buns are sold in packages of eight and have a frozen shelf life of six months and a defrosted shelf life of six days.
In addition to OneBun sandwich buns, Ozery makes Skinny Dippers crackers.
