WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services said they are soliciting written comments in advance of the third meeting of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee scheduled for April 29. The U.S.D.A. said the agenda will include presentations by expert speakers on topics that may include the eating environment, economics and nutrient adequacy, and effects of various macronutrient meal plans on weight status. In addition, individual subcommittees will be able to provide updates on progress.
The meeting will be held on-line, via webinar format, and members of the public are invited to attend.
