CHICAGO — Burson-Marsteller, the public relations firm for the Wheat Foods Council, has been named a finalist for the 2009 Silver Anvil award of the Public Relations Society of America. Burson was named a finalist for its urban wheat field project on behalf of the W.F.C., which brought a live wheat plot to South Street Seaport in New York in October 2008. The project sought to bring attention to wheat, showing how it is grown and its nutritional benefits. According to the W.F.C., the wheat project was one of 126 named as a Silver Anvil finalist. Winners will be named at a June 4 ceremony in New York. Additionally, Burson has won the Golden Trumpet Award for marketing from the Publicity Club of Chicago.
