OVERLAND PARK, KAS. — Kris Lutt has been named president of ADM Milling Co., effective Dec. 1. Mr. Lutt succeeds Mark Kolkhorst, who has been promoted to vice-president of Milling and Cocoa at Archer Daniels Midland Co. Mr. Lutt joined Decatur, Ill.-based ADM in 2002 with the acquisition of Minnesota Corn Processors.

In the years since, Mr. Lutt has served as general manager of specialty feed ingredients in the ADM Corn business as well as vice-president of corn processing. He was named adviser to the office of the chairman in 2009. Mr. Lutt holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from Illinois State University. Mr. Kolkhorst has been president of ADM Milling since September 2007. Earlier, he was president of specialty feed ingredients and held a range of grain merchandising management positions. He has been with ADM since 1986.

The changes at ADM Milling were announced as part of a range of promotions and other executive management assignments at ADM. Mark Bemis has been named senior vice-president of ADM and president of the Corn division. Matt Jansen has been named senior vice-president and remains president of Global Oilseeds. Crain Huss has been named senior vice-president and remains president of Agricultural Services. Joe Tates, a corporate vice-president, has been named president of the grain business. Victoria Podesta, a vice-president, has been named chief communications officer. Mike Baroni has been named vice-president of economic policy.

Additionally, Chris Boerm has been named adviser, office of the chairman, and Conrad Givers has been named vice-president of sweetener sales.
