LENEXA, KAS. — Jim Wells has been promoted to director of commercial insights at Caravan Ingredients. In this role, Mr. Wells will be responsible for the business development and consumer insight groups, coordinating commercial championing roles within innovation projects and supporting Caravan Ingredient’s innovation portfolio. He also will continue to extend Caravan Ingredients’ category management technologies to develop strategic business building partnerships with key customers.
“Since joining the company in May 2008, Jim has shown tremendous vision, using category management tools to create a competitive advantage in the marketplace and enhancing Caravan Ingredients’ product leadership position as his team supports new product introductions and programs,” said Kerrie Medlicott, vice-president of marketing for Caravan.
Before joining Caravan Ingredients, Mr. Wells had an extensive background in consumer research and business development, working for Spectra Marketing, I.R.I., Nabisco, Lincoln Snacks and Nestle.
