PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Macaroni Co. has reached agreement to acquire Campbell Soup Co.’s German Village Products pasta plant in Wauseon, Ohio. Campbell has owned the 65,000-square-foot facility since 1979, and pasta products made at the plant are used in a variety of Campbell’s soups. Campbell said it will close the facility on July 15 before transitioning rights to Philadelphia Macaroni, which has supplied Campbell with pasta products since the 1920s. In addition to the facility acquisition, Philadelphia Macaroni entered a long-term agreement to supply Campbell with pasta products.
