ST. LOUIS – Walt George has been named corporate vice-president of Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. and president of American Italian Pasta Co., Ralcorp Holdings said Friday. Ralcorp Holdings completed its acquisition of American Italian Pasta on Tuesday.

Mr. George will replace Jack Kelly, who plans to leave American Italian Pasta after a transition period that is scheduled to conclude Nov. 1. Mr. George has worked at American Italian Pasta for nine years, most recently as chief operating officer. He also has served as executive vice-president – operations and supply chain, and senior vice-president – supply chain and logistics. Before coming to American Italian Pasta, Mr. George worked for Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. as vice-president of supply chain and for Frito-Lay, Inc., where he held plant management and operations positions.

Mr. George now will report to Kevin J. Hunt, co-chief executive officer and president of Ralcorp.
