DECATUR, ILL. — Vikram Luthar, treasurer of Archer Daniels Midland Co., has added the title of vice-president of finance. In his new role, Mr. Luthar will continue to oversee ADM’s global treasury operations and will assume expanded responsibilities for planning and business development, where he will focus on both short-term performance and long-term growth objectives.

“As treasurer, Vikram has played an important role in enhancing the strength of ADM’s finances,” said Steve Mills, executive vice-president and chief financial officer. “In this expanded role, he’ll contribute his keen insight and his focus on results to the planning and growth of our company.”

Mr. Luthar joined ADM in 2004 as vice-president and treasurer. Prior to joining ADM, he spent 11 years with General Motors Corp., serving in various treasury positions in the United States and Asia.

He received a bachelor of technology degree in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a master of business administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
