ST. PAUL, MINN. — A series of executive promotions have been announced at CHS Inc. Gary Anderson has been named senior vice-president of CHS Oilseed Processing; Brian Schouvieller has been named senior vice-president of grain Marketing, North America; and John McEnroe has been named executive vice-president, country operations.

Additionally, CHS said it has opened an office in Singapore. Rick Browne, senior vice-president, grain marketing, has been assigned the responsibility of leading the “expansion and growth of the Asia-Pacific business platform,” the company said. He will be based in Singapore.

Mr. Anderson will succeed Dennis Wendland, senior vice-president of oilseed processing, who will retire in 2012 after 38 years with CHS. Mr. Anderson has been with CHS since 1986. Most recently he was vice-president of grain marketing, North America. In his new role he will report to Mark Palmquist, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, Ag Business.

Mr. Schouvieller has been with CHS since 1991 and has held a variety of grain marketing positions. Most recently, he was vice-president of international development within the division. He, too, will report to Mr. Palmquist.

Mr. McEnroe has been with CHS since 1979, first as a trainee manager and then in several grain marketing and retail management positions. He has been senior vice-president of Country Operations for the last eight years. He will report to Carl Casale, CHS president and chief executive officer, in his new position and will be part of the senior leadership team at CHS.

The Country Operations division operates 60 locally governed retail businesses. Mr. McEnroe also is responsible for the CHS animal nutrition and sunflowerseed processing business.

Of the Singapore office, Mr. Palmquist said CHS intends to heighten its focus on a market it already serves.

“While CHS has been doing business in the Asia-Pacific region for a number of years, we are intensifying our focus on this dynamic growing market,” he said. “Increasing our profile in global commodities is one of the company’s strategic aspirations.”

He noted the company recently opened an office in Seoul, South Korea, and already had offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Mr. Browne has been with CHS since 1979 and has held a range of grain merchandising and management positions. He was named senior vice-president in 2001 and has led the CHS North American Grain Marketing platform since then. Earlier this year he assumed management responsibility for the CHS Crop Nutrients business.
