LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Schar USA Inc., a division of Schar, Burgstall, Italy, has begun construction of a baking facility that will exclusively manufacture gluten-free products for the U.S. market. The new plant will be 50,000 square feet and open during 2012.

The company said product lines that will be manufactured at the new plant include its existing line of 32 items as well as two new frozen bread varieties that will be sold under the Hearty White and Hearty Grain brands.
