Organized by the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA), Process Expo aims to attract attendees with more than 350 exhibitors and a full schedule of free educational sessions. “We are looking forward to the strongest Process Expo attendance ever,” said Scott Scriven, chairman of FPSA and president of Weber, Inc., Kansas City, MO. “With a show floor over 75% larger than in 2010, including bellwether equipment manufacturers across all segments of the food and beverage industry, interest in Process Expo is at an all-time high.”
Exhibitors specific to the baking and snack industry will showcase complete equipment, ingredient and supply solutions; the latest advancements in packaging materials and systems, sanitation equipment and computerized technologies; and solutions to help maintain and grow food businesses. Members of FPSA’s Bakery Council will be on hand throughout the event to meet with baking and snack colleagues and gather their ideas about where the industry is heading.
In addition to networking opportunities, the show’s free educational sessions address critical issues in the food and beverage industry. Topics include “Strengthening your HACCP and Food Safety Program”; “Novel Food Processing Technologies: Update on Emerging Applications, Research and Regulations”; “Hiring and Retaining Employees”; and “Building Preventive Maintenance Programs to Save Money and Enhance Efficiencies.”
Process Expo exhibitors will also deliver short technical workshops throughout the day on the show floor, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
On Oct. 31, the day before the show officially opens, Process Expo will dedicate a full day to sessions presented in Spanish for attendees from Latin America. Topics for these Spanish-language sessions include “Easy Clean and Sanitary Design Options for Mixers and Agitators,” “Calculating Payback for Process Line Automation” and “Food Safety: The Impact on Exporting Food Products.”
