DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — Noodles by Leonardo, a family-owned pasta company founded in 1979, said it is consolidating its operations in Cando, N.D., and Devils Lake. Plant manager Jay Janssen told the Grand Forks Herald production at Devils Lake will be transitioned about 40 miles away to Cando over the next several months. Mr. Janssen told the Grand Forks Herald that the company has been considering the move for a couple of years to make the operation more efficient.
Noodles by Leonardo opened the Cando facility in 1980 and later built the Devils Lake facility in 1989. Production at Devils Lake began in 1993. According to Noodles by Leonardo’s web site, the Cando facility produces the company’s dry pasta line of retail and food service cuts, while Devils Lake produces the value-added products.
