RICHMOND, VA. — Jason Ward and Dave Pedro have joined AMF Bakery Systems as vice-president of sales and marketing and key account manager, respectively.

As vice-president of sales and marketing, Mr. Ward will be responsible for AMF bakery equipment worldwide. Prior to joining AMF, he spent more than eight years with Cargill in the food ingredients and food processing business. He worked in Cargill’s strategy and business development group and most recently was regional manager within Cargill’s oils and shortening business. Earlier, he was a manager at Accenture Consulting.

Mr. Ward received a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., and a master’s degree from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

In his new role, Mr. Pedro will be responsible for all equipment sales, including mixing, make-up, pan and product systems, proofers and ovens, packaging, post packaging distribution systems, washing and drying systems, and bakery robotic systems for select accounts on the West coast. He is a 17-year veteran of the baking industry and most recently was key account manager for Turkington USA/APV Baker.

He received a bachelor’s degree in food science from the University of Wisconsin.
