RICHMOND, VA. — Mrs. Fields Famous Brands and Interbake Foods L.L.C. have signed a long-term licensing partnership under which Interbake Foods will become responsible for the manufacture and sale of Mrs. Fields branded pre-packaged cookies sold at retailers throughout North America. The agreement will take effect Oct. 29.

Through its franchisees’ retail stores, Mrs. Fields is one of the largest retailers of freshly baked, on-premises specialty cookies and brownies in the world. Its franchise systems operate through a network of more than 950 franchised and licensed locations throughout the United States and in 23 foreign countries.

Interbake Foods is a baked goods manufacturer with more than 110 years of business experience, and it is the North American cookie and cracker division of Weston Foods. The division includes Interbake Foods in the USA and Colonial Cookies Ltd. in Canada. Interbake Foods consists of three business segments: retail private brands, contract manufacturing and Girl Scout cookies through the company’s ABC Bakers division.
